If an individual enters the premises while being aware of their illness and displaying symptoms and intentionally chooses to disregard the health and safety of patrons and employees they will be held responsible according to our COVID/Illness policy. This policy outlines the liabilities and responsibilities that they have accepted prior, to their arrival.

If you decide to come for your massage appointment after going to the gym, working out, or not practicing personal hygiene we kindly request that you reschedule your appointment for a later date when you have had time to conduct appropriate personal hygiene practices. This is important because certain infections, bacteria, parasites like MRSA, Staph and others can exist on, or within the body.

In the event you have any sores such as body acne, boils, scabs, rashes, poison ivy, skin ulcers, open cuts,  stitches, eczema flare ups with open and peeling skin areas, monkeypox, warts, ringworm, sores or any conditions that may transmit bodily fluids or infectious diseases to your therapist kindly reschedule your appointment immediately. If you exhibit symptoms of any of these conditions or any other transmissible infections during your session The therapist will politely step out of the room. Your appointment will be ended. Depending on the situation,  rescheduling might be possible.

However in cases of extreme negligence and disregard, for the well being of other clients and therapists you may be required to pay the full price for the scheduled service even if its just one minute into the appointment. We understand that your health and safety are extremely important and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring everyones well being.

At Lux Massage & Life Spa we strictly enforce a zero tolerance policy regarding any kind of jokes, sexual remarks, inquiries, conversations or solicitation of activities such as prostitution. This policy applies to every individual without any exceptions or justifications. Please note that any behavior or language with undertones is strictly prohibited within our establishment towards our staff members and any violations will not be tolerated. We take this matter seriously. There will be no room, for misunderstandings or leniency.

To ensure the safety and well being of both our clients and staff we regret to inform you that if you arrive for your scheduled appointment exhibiting any signs of alcohol or substance abuse/use (including opioids or marijuana) we will be unable to proceed with your appointment. This includes showing symptoms of intoxication or substance abuse, such, as the smell of marijuana, alcohol or any other substances. Unfortunately you will be required to cancel your appointment. You may be responsible for any associated cancellation fees. Please note that this policy applies regardless of marijuana legislation in Minnesota, the availability of liquor stores or the sale of over the counter products in tobacco shops.

We prioritize your happiness, health and safety at all times. We encourage moderation. Making healthy decisions to enhance your quality of life. What you do in your time is not a concern within our establishment.

Mental health issues and substance abuse affect individuals from backgrounds, sexual orientations, political beliefs and religious affiliations. If you require resources or assistance regarding either of these matters, please don'y hesitate to communicate with our staff.

Although we may not hold licenses as chemical dependency counselors. We have valuable resources available, through our professional network and years of experience in the health and wellness industry.

If you violate this policy, once you have paid the cancellation/termination fee you will be kindly requested to leave the premises safely. It's important to note that while we don't judge our clients actions and lifestyle choices as consenting adults, we do expect all clients to prioritize the health and safety of others while on our premises. Any behavior that puts others at risk will not be tolerated. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

In order to receive our services it is necessary for you to comply with our stated policies and follow the process. If there's anything about our policies or intake process that makes you uncomfortable, please inform our staff immediately so they can assist you in cancelling your appointment according to our 48 hour cancellation policy. At Lux Massage & Life Spa we deeply value your comfort and consent ensuring that all customers are treated equally under our policies. Failure to comply with these policies or adhere, to the process will result in denial of service(s), termination of your appointment and any future appointment requests being declined.

Please be aware that if you fail to communicate any requirements, for your appointment at the time of scheduling, or if you violate the cancellation policy  you will be held accountable for any fees associated with the cancellation policy.
